Lederhosen

(I’m not sure what the ladies’ version of lederhosen is called, but this looks like it might be it…)

    The female version of lederhosen is dirndl (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dirndl)
    Ooh you should ask my mum to send you some pictures of her (great) grandmother in the traditional dress of our region for your collection 🙂

    This is very nice picture of a woman in her dirndl. Dirndls are great fun (and lederhosen). Many people are realizing life is a big costume party and when it is time for the great Bavarian celebration of Oktoberfest, it is time to dress up. It seems in Bavaria the young are definitely bringing back the tradition of wearing the dirndls and lederhosen, and not just for events. Here in the USA many people wear these items for events, Oktoberfest and when attending their local German American clubs. Enjoy life, dress up in a dirndl!
