A walk in the country

The Sepia Saturday theme this week is ‘Dogs’. I actually have a whole sub-folder for pictures of ladies with dogs! If you’d like to see more dogs, check  out the categories that run down the side of the page- it’s one of the most common themes of the pictures (I’d like to see more cats, personally!)

Another pair of well-posed pets. How did they manage to get them to pose so well and so still?

I always think dogs look really happy in photos, so maybe it comes from being eager to please? (I have two cats- neither is particularly eager to please us!)

Boy she looks like she really has a grip on those dogs like “you aren’t going anywhere until we have this picture taken!”

Interesting it’s the most common type of picture you find…. I myself didn’t have much to choose from, and we’ve got a lot of family pictures.

We had a dog just like either of those. Probably more like the one being held tight. Happy memories!

It doesn’t look like a garden, maybe they (she and the photographer) were on a picnic (what’s in the bag)?

You have some wonderful photos here. I found you on Sepia Saturday and enjoyed browsing through these elegant ladies.

I have a distant cousin of those two lying at my feet right now. What age is this photo? 1920’s?

All three look pretty happy 🙂 I wonder what’s in the satchel – flasks of tea, perhaps? Jo
