Girl Scout

The original photo on Sepia Saturday was a photo of a girl with a doll. I didn’t have anything like that, but I do have this!  Pretty sure she’s not a Guide or a Brownie, but I could be wrong!

That looks like a brownie badge on her tie – the little shamrock-shaped one 🙂 Jo

There is a look of pride and delight in her face. Great photograph : doll or no doll

It looks a lot like the 1920s UK Brownie uniform here:

It’s a fine photograph. How did we miss it first time round?

Looks like a Brownie to me. I always remember their hats.

I agree — it looks like a Brownie pin although the uniform doesn’t look familiar. She’s a beautiful child and a proud scout, for sure.

I was always so fond of the berets, but this is a fine hat topping off an equally fine uniform.

There is something so confident about the pose. A fine photograph.

Nice photo! She’s Girl Scout. The ‘shamrock’ pin is a Trefoil. The tiny stars are given to scouts. One star = one year of service.

It doesn’t look like a comfortable outfit, but one obviously worn with pride.

I think she is an older times girl scout, very fitting for their 100th celebration..She is serious but has a twinkle in her eye.

I agree, she looks very confident!
